Victoria – Ashley Wey is back with a special celebration show with long time friends, bassist Sean Drabitt and drummer extraordinaire Kelby MacNayr at Hermann’s Jazz Club on Wednesday, February 15.

Ashley is leaving Victoria for a spring tour with four-time Grammy Award winner, Manny Kellough, from March to June 2012. The Manny Kellough All-Stars released a DVD in 2011 in the U.S. and are looking forward to playing straight- ahead jazz on the newest Celebrity Cruiseliner, the Sillioutte.

The show at Hermann’s will be a birthday celebration for Drabitt. “I’m honoured and delighted to celebrate a friend’s birthday at Hermann’s Jazz Club,” says Wey. “February 15th is a night dedicated to the celebration of life, friends, community, love and music.”

The evening is guaranteed to be full of beautiful, funky, sweet music, infused with heart and soul. Ashley will perform some of her newest original material along with songs from her full-length debut, Star Seeds, released in November 2011.
